Opening Reissue Titles

As with Warner Bros. and MGM, Columbia too reissued a large portion of its color cartoon library beginning roughly when the studio closed in 1947. The first reissue title card used is the one displayed below on the left, featuring characters from a small handful of Screen Gems shorts including Li'l Abner's pig, Salami from "Porkuliar Piggy," the buffalo and indian from "Lo the Poor Buffal," the turkey and moose from "Topsy Turkey," and the dog and cat from "Flora," among others. Cartoons that would be reissued in the 1950s would have their credits replaced with the title card on the right, designed by UPA.

Samba Reissue Titles

These titles were created by Samba Pictures, when they reissued the Scrappy and Krazy Kat shorts for television syndication during the 1950s.
The only two Scrappy cartoons Samba did not distribute were "Fare-Play" (1932) and "The Beer Parade" (1933):
